FLORIS, a new brand of detergents and household cleaning products is born

Full of enthusiasm, Mohamed Habib Nakhli launched his brand “FLORIS” – a firm based in Kairouan that manufactures detergents and household cleaning products, which employs 2 people.

The 22 year old got the idea or his business while working for his cousin’s company that is specialized in the marketing and distribution of different cleaning products.  Mohamed Habib used the time to learn about the sector and identified a business opportunity for his own brand.

“Through this work experience, I gained skills and professional experience. I felt I had all the assets to start and run my own business,” Mohamed recounts.

In 2019, Mohamed Habib took action by contacting the Business Centre of Kairouan, which enabled him to carry out a feasibility study in order to obtain a financing loan to invest in the installation and equipment for his project.

Through the Business Centre of Kairouan, Mohamed Habib also met the experts of the Mashrou3i project, who diagnosed his needs and assessed the support required.

“I was first mentored by the marketing, communication and access to markets expert who helped me work on the graphic design of my brand FLORIS. We also improved my marketing skills, developed my commercial mindset and I was trained on the different ways of attracting and retaining customers,” explains Mohamed Habib. “Since then, I have had continuous support from Mashrou3i and received guidance and business coaching to help me gradually overcome the obstacles facing to launch my business.”

Thanks to Mashrou3i’s support, the young entrepreneur was able to register his brand with INNORPI and took the necessary steps to guarantee a product that meets the required hygiene, health and quality standards.

“My new brand now allows me to expand my distribution channels and include supermarkets and shops not only in Kairouan, but also in Sousse and Tunis.”

Mohamed also benefited from a training on digital marketing with Mashrou3i to optimize his promotions on social media.

“If there is one thing I really appreciated,” Mohamed says affirmatively, “it was the work on the design of my products and the support of the Mashrou3i expert to help me improve the content of my Facebook page, how to manage my page and especially how to sponsor it.”

With the support of the Mashrou3i project, Mohamed Habib is taking advantage of the Ramadan period to prepare the photo shooting of his new products, to highlight the new brand design, and to launch promotional actions on social networks.
