The COVID-19 crisis has emphasized the challenges entrepreneurs face in accessing markets, especially online. In response, the Mashrou3i project provided a technical training in the TUNEPS platform (Tunisia online e-procurement system) to enable small businesses to successfully apply to public tenders and new business opportunities.

During September, 8 training sessions on the TUNEPS platform with an expert were held, benefiting 40 start ups. These sessions familiarized participants with the law surrounding public tenders and regulating the public market, as well as enabling the start ups register as a supplier to the platform and successfully submit an offer.

“This has been a vital training for the development of my business, which relies 100% on public tendors,” explained Helmi Ben Hammed who runs a construction businesses in Zaghouan.

Another Mashrou3i beneficiary Borhen Mokni, who manages a private training center in Kairouan added, “The trainer is excellent, and is updated with all the latest information on public market regulation – I don’t think I could have a better trainer in this field.”
